The envious and miser
A miser and an envious stood before a king, and he said to them: "Ask anything you want, and I will give the second twice as much as the first." Neither of them wanted the other to take more than him, so they quarreled for a long time, and each asked the other to ask first, so the king said: “If you do not do what I command you, I will cut off your heads.” And the envious said to the king: "Oh, my lord, take out one of my eyes!"
